Secularism

Secularism is a video artwork that critiques the reality of secularism in countries with limited religious freedom. The glitched video reveals the harshness faced by religious minorities, while the manipulated soundtrack—composed of altered peace prayers and chants—contrasts the idealistic definition of secularism with the brutal reality. The work reflects the artist’s personal distance from this violence and questions their own position within it.
