The Loss of Control, 2020 is part of the Untitled exhibition, exploring the overwhelming feeling of losing control over one's life. The piece represents a personal and global experience of the loss of control, capturing the anxiety and confusion that comes with it. From government restrictions to personal physical and mental challenges, this sculpture embodies the unsettling reality of being unable to control your own body and mind. It speaks to the impact of mental illness, external restrictions, and societal pressures, illustrating how everything can unravel when control slips away. The materials—wire, cactus cutting, and other elements—symbolize the fragility of self-control and the vulnerability we all face when our sense of agency is compromised.
